Founded in 2009 and registered as a Brazilian non-profit in 2011, Plantando Consciencia dedicates its work to the study of non-ordinary states of consciousness produced by psychedelics and their potential to relieve suffering and improve the human condition.
There’s a strong body of evidence supporting the understanding that, when responsibly done in a therapeutic setting, the exploration of psychedelics can help integrate psychological processes and alleviate physical and emotional suffering. Our goal is to gather quantifiable scientific evidence to support these claims in service of coalescing a drug policy reform.

By producing scientific evidence and implementing pioneering health care initiatives we hope to 1) facilitate necessary changes in social policies, and 2) underpin the collective dialogue with a solid body of knowledge. See our projects to learn more.
